“The best way to predict your future is to create it.” This quote means that instead of trying to predict how the future is going to be, just create it on your own. If you plan on doing something, that counts as predicting the future. The action of completing that prediction is is creating the future on your own. An example of this is the goals journal that we do in Mr. Haymore’s class. We create goals that we 100% plan on doing. When the goal is complete, you write “victory” next to the goal that was completed. This is essentially predicting and creating the future. This helps us because it lets us control the results or outcome of something. Studies also show that if you write your goals down, you are more likely to achieve them. The completion of the completion of the goal gives you some form of achievement. This helps with achieving and creating more goals.

Reflection: I would enjoy having this job when i’m still a bit young. But I would like to move to something higher up in the field. I think this is a great job to gain work experience. This job may satisfy many people, but I personally wouldn’t want this as my career. This job can pay a decent amount, but can sometimes pay really low, depending on certain factors such as work experience or education.

“Ask yourself, is it right or wrong to act accordingly.” An example of this statements taking place is when deciding whether to do something or not. If you know it’s acting accordingly, then it is right and you should do it. If you are place in a situation where someone you know doesn’t want you to do something then it’s up to you to decide. Even if they don’t like what you’re doing, you should do what is right, and what is best for everyone. Even if it affects you or another person negatively, you should still do it. Everyone needs to experience some downs in life. Without that, they wouldn’t be prepared for when they get hit hard by an issue that may come up in the future. It may happen to them or someone they love, but it will happen sooner or later.

“Act well your part; there all honor lies.” To me this quote means that in order to be considered or feel honorable, you must act well on your part. An example of this can be in sports. If you win all your games, including the national or world championship, you aren’t considered honorable unless you did it without cheating. A little league baseball team that won the world series championship, was exposed for cheating. They were stripped of their title because they used players that didn’t weren’t from the same area as the other players. Their cheating made them destroy top tier teams until they actually won the world championship. Eventually, all your honor will be taken away once you’re exposed for cheating.

Reflection: I would not like to become a Nursing Home Administrator because to me it seems like a job that requires an infinite amount of patience. I am a very patient person, but do not like working with older people that often. I am capable of doing so, but I won’t enjoy it one bit. I want a job where science a health plays a major role. This job may involve a little bit of both, but not enough for me to enjoy.

“If you do what’s right, if you live the right way, you’ll be taken care of.” This statement means that if you always do good and live your life doing good, then you will be treated well, protected, and taken care of. If you do not follow this then the exact opposite will occur. If you do bad things, and live your life doing bad, then bad things will happen to you. Those things that occur might have an impact on you emotionally, socially, or even physically. An example of this was was when Rachel Castillo found a bag on a golf course. The bag contain lots of money. It contained a total amount of $36,000 and she decided to return to it’s owner. Although she didn’t get any rewards, she believes that she will be rewarded by a higher power. This was a good thing to do because the person who owned the money was in declining health. The person was also really old.
