Good Name

Student success statement

“A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches. Proverbs 22:1” What this means is that it’s better to have a clean reputation rather than that of having riches. An example of this can be when getting hired. When applying for a job, they check your background in order to see if you have anything sketchy in the past. I personally would rather be rich than have a good name. The reason for this is because I don’t care about what people stigmatize about me. Also, my real friends wouldn’t dislike me because I have a bad name/reputation. In life, having a bad name can lead to a unsuccessful career and discrimination. The best thing to do is avoid anything that will give you a bad name.
