This quote is important to me because I base my life upon this. I don't want to live up to someone's expectations. I want to surpass my goals and the goals everyone sets for me. I also don't want to live up to someone's stereotype that they set on me. Everyone has the potential and can make their own decisions. Your mother isn't going to be there to hold your hand and baby feed you for the rest of your life. In life you will have to make choices, some risky and some not. You will need to make these decisions by yourself in order to become successful. Don't let others decide what your profession should be. Don't let others doubt you, you have to prove them wrong and show them what you accomplished once you become successful.

Duties and Responsibilities: Otolaryngology (pronounced oh/toe/lair/in/goll/oh/jee) is the oldest medical specialty in the United States. Otolaryngologists are physicians trained in the medical and surgical management and treatment of patients with diseases and disorders of the ear, nose, throat (ENT), and related structures of the head and neck.

Salary: $197,000 Annually, Mean hourly wage $95.05

Education: Apply to complete four years of medical school. During the last two years, you can take specialized coursework in otolaryngology. Several ENT residency programs stand out among others, including Johns Hopkins and Tufts. Plan to spend anywhere from 3-5 years in an ENT residency program.

Reflection: This is a profession I think I would enjoy because you really only have to treat or diagnose a disease that affects the ears, nose, and throat. They get paid extremely well and it’s a profession that i know I won’t get bored of. They have a job that pays a huge role in a person’s health but it’s always good when you help others.

I personally think that having this information out there can be very useful. I also think that they shouldn't put pictures of students to decorate their website, for obvious reasons. I like that the website protects sensitive information about students from the public, by requiring a password to access it. I think that the schools should limit the information that the teachers can access about you. The school provides you with a library service, so the students can access knowledge about something anytime they want.

"Choosing the right is always the right thing to do." What this quote means is that choosing the right will always be the correct thing to do. Choosing the right will always make you feel better as a person. Choosing the right will get people to respect you more. Choosing the right will give you success in life. It will allow you to achieve greatness in life and help you in the future. It can help you with your education, job, and even in your social life. Some examples are when helping others. Helping others will always make you feel better because you are choosing the right. Choosing the right gives you the ability to surpass others and help you make it far in life.

Reflection: I would not like to be a dermatologist because of many reasons. I never looked into researching about the skin. I don’t know much about it and I don’t plan on ever making this into my profession. I don’t have an interest in skincare and know very little about it. Although this career does pay a good amount of money, it wouldn’t be my first career choice.

John Wooden

"What you are as a person is far more important than what you are as a basketball player." What this quote means to is me is that being a good person is more important than that of skill. Even in a competition, you should always prioritize being a good person over anything. Sportsmanship is more important than winning because sometimes having fun feels better than winning. We all like to win, but winning and having fun is always better. Even when you lose, if you had fun, then it was worth it. John wooden's players were successful in basketball because they were always having good sportsmanship and always having fun. John wooden was also respected by many because he was a good person. He was also one of the best coaches to ever exist, and he was also in the hall of fame as a player and a coach. Even though he isn't alive today, the dreams of those who look up to him are and also his way of teaching.

What this quote is trying to imply is that true wealth does always mean that you have a lot of money. Wealth can come from the heart. Love, caring, and helping others can be considered wealthy of the heart. Anyone is viable to obtain true wealth in their life. One way you can obtain this, is by always choosing the right. Another way we can achieve true wealth is by succeeding in life and making those who care for you proud to know and care for you. Following this quote will make you succeed and surpass the goal you and others set for yourself. Following this quote will make you a better person overall.

Reflection: This wouldn’t be my choice of a dream job but i would like to have something like this for a short period of time. The job description seems a bit simple but stressful. The payment is a bit low and I wouldn’t like looking at people’s nasty teeth. I don’t want to be an assistant, i want a job that will allow me to lead. I would like a job where only I can restrict myself.

You cannot do wrong and feel right. You can't do wrong without feeling guilt. You cannot do wrong without feeling some form of negative emotions. You cannot bypass this law, it will never happen, so we should live our lives while keeping this quote in mind. An example of this law in action can a robbery. The thieves will feel good about robbing a bank. They will feel great about all the free money they just got. If they get caught, they will live a life of regret. If they never get caught, they will live the life of extreme guilt.They wouldn't be able to walk outside on the streets without showing acts of paranoia. In conclusion, you should always choose the right, and the right things in life will come running to you.

Reflection: I would enjoy being a dentist because it seems like a fun job. You may have to have appointments that last a really long time but at the end of the day it’s worth it. Dentists get paid really well, averaging $158,310 a year. Some dentist can make a lot more than that of the average pay. If they are really well known, then they can earn a ton of money.

What this quote means to me is that when you do good in life, you will feel good about it. When you do bad in life, you will feel bad.An example of this is when i was skating with my friends late at night. I was suppose to be  home at seven and i got home at 10. The next day I didn't have permission to go outside. An example of something good is when i cleaned the entire house. I was given a reward of $5 and it felt like i did something good by doing it. By doing something good, you will feel good. There is also a possibility that you may be reward for your good actions. When doing bad, you will feel bad. You also run the possibility of having to deal with severe consequences.

Reflection: I would like to be a chiropractor because the job seems simple to me. You have to be well experienced but once you get the hang of it, it can be easy and mellow. They also get a good annual payment. Sometimes an appointment can be as easy as cracking someone’s back , but there can be occasion where the patient has some serious injuries and you have to be careful.

This quote means that the more you listen, the more freedom and rights you will obtain. Without obedience, freedom shall not exist. Being obedient will grant people many things they want in life such as freedom. Some examples of this may be someone following the law, which will grants them rights and the freedom they want. Someone who doesn't follow the law, will pay the consequences and lose the freedom, and rights. These are good examples that can prove this quote true and there is many other examples that fall under the rule of this quote. The more right things you do in life, the more rewards you will get. The reward according to this quote is freedom. Freedom allows us to obtain much more than we are aware of and can lead us to a life full of happiness. Obedience is one of the major keys to freedom. 

911 Memorials

911 Description/Summary: On September 11, 2001, 19 militants associated with the Islamic extremist group al-Qaeda hijacked four airliners and carried out suicide attacks against targets in the United States. Two of the planes were flown into the towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, a third plane hit the Pentagon just outside Washington, D.C., and the fourth plane crashed in a field in Pennsylvania. Often referred to as 9/11, the attacks resulted in extensive death and destruction, triggering major U.S. initiatives to combat terrorism and defining the presidency of George W. Bush. Over 3,000 people were killed during the attacks in New York City and Washington, D.C., including more than 400 police officers and firefighters.

Reflection: I believe that 911 was such a tragic day in U.S history because many innocent people were killed that day and lots of them had families. Thousand of people were killed and a few hundreds of those people were firefighters and police officers. The scary thing about this is that it wasn't an accident and a terrorist group name Al-Qaeda was accused of this terrorist attack. There is many conspiracies about 911, but America is still waiting for an answer to solve this mystery. 

Thomas S. Monson fire starting video response

In the video, Thomas Monson had to pull some tall grass out of the ground when he was 8 years old. He then decided to light the grass on fire in an attempt to burn a small patch of grass. Since he was eight years old at the time, he didn't know that once the fire started it would be difficult to put out if it spread. He began to light the grass and the fire was spreading at a pace where they weren't able to put it out and then had the people from his area put the fire out after hours of them trying. This relates to his quote "Obedience is the great test of life" because he was tested with a task but didn't make the right decision so he got the result that he set up for himself for not being obedient.

"Obedience is the greatest test of life"

This quote by Thomas S. Monson, is trying to portray to us that obedience is something that everyone will be tested on in life. Being obedient or paying attention to the important things in life will help you succeed. Being disobedient will lead to many consequences or results that you may not enjoy. Being obedient will result in many things that you may be proud of in the future. An example of this may be, if you are obedient in school, then you may walk into the path of a career that you may enjoy or that pays really well. An example of a consequence may be someone who was disobedient in school that ended up working a minimum wage job or even on the streets. Being disobedient may also get you in trouble with the law. 

Cardiologist

Duties and Responsibilities: There are mainly two parts in cardiologist job description, cardiologist and interventional cardiologist. The former specializes in diagnosing, preventing and treating diseases in cardiovascular system that includes heart and blood vessels.

Salary: Cardiologists make an awful lot, too. They are guaranteed an average base salary of $512,000, according to the Merritt Hawkins data. The third highest-paying specialty: Urology. These specialists earn an average of $461,000, not including production bonuses or benefits.

Education: Doctoral degree in medicine; completion of a residency program in internal medicine and cardiology.

Demand for this profession: 14% which is much faster than average.

I would like to be a cardiologist someday because it pays really well and seems very interesting to me. A cardiologist peaks my interest because I like studying about the human body and health. A cardiologist has one of the best paying jobs out there and has to be responsible enough to put someone’s life into his or her hands.

Education is whats going to bring success to you in life. Without education you will get no where in life and you will never accomplish your goals that you set for yourself. Education will give you the chance to buy that one special item that you always wanted as a little kid. Some examples would be your dream cars or game. Education can also bring respect to your name and others might even look up to you and your beliefs. If you make a mistake by not choosing education, you will find yourself working for a minimum wage job for a living. Education will also bring interesting experiences to your life, such as traveling to to other places around the world. Lots of friends or people will come to you when you commit your time to learning new things. Education will also provide you with the resources to get a nice house and have enough money to support your own family. Education will also keep you safe from trouble or injustice.

Duties and Responsibilities: Job Definition for an Audiologist. Audiologists are ear specialists. Typically, these professionals work with patients who have problems with hearing, balance or other ear-related problems. Audiologists typically work in health care settings, although many also work in schools or educational environments.  

Salary: $69,720 annually

Education: Doctoral or Professional degree, they involve a research component, PhD programs may last as long as 5-6 years.

Demand for this profession: Employment of audiologists is projected to grow 29 percent from 2014 to 2024, much faster than the average for all occupations. Hearing loss increases as people age, so the aging population is likely to increase demand for audiologists.

I wouldn’t like to be one because I know very little about how the ears work. I only know the structure of the ear but I wouldn’t like to make this into something I study on or my profession. The job doesn’t seem very fun in my eyes and has many requirements that take 5-6 years to complete.
