This quote by Thomas S. Monson, is trying to portray to us that obedience is something that everyone will be tested on in life. Being obedient or paying attention to the important things in life will help you succeed. Being disobedient will lead to many consequences or results that you may not enjoy. Being obedient will result in many things that you may be proud of in the future. An example of this may be, if you are obedient in school, then you may walk into the path of a career that you may enjoy or that pays really well. An example of a consequence may be someone who was disobedient in school that ended up working a minimum wage job or even on the streets. Being disobedient may also get you in trouble with the law.
