Duties and Responsibilities: There are mainly two parts in cardiologist job description, cardiologist and interventional cardiologist. The former specializes in diagnosing, preventing and treating diseases in cardiovascular system that includes heart and blood vessels.
Salary: Cardiologists make an awful lot, too. They are guaranteed an average base salary of $512,000, according to the Merritt Hawkins data. The third highest-paying specialty: Urology. These specialists earn an average of $461,000, not including production bonuses or benefits.
Education: Doctoral degree in medicine; completion of a residency program in internal medicine and cardiology.
Demand for this profession: 14% which is much faster than average.

Reflection:

I would like to be a cardiologist someday because it pays really well and seems very interesting to me. A cardiologist peaks my interest because I like studying about the human body and health. A cardiologist has one of the best paying jobs out there and has to be responsible enough to put someone’s life into his or her hands.
