“Intelligence is not enough. Intelligence plus character, that is the goal of true education. To me, this quote means that without character, intelligence is nothing. It’s the same with character. Without intelligence, character is nothing. An example of this can be in sports. You have the intelligence and requirements to qualify to play. But if you don’t have good character or sportsmanship, no one is going to acknowledge your intelligence. Another example can be in school. You can have good character, but if you don’t have a certain level of intelligence, that will become irrelevant in most people’s eyes.Overall, it’s best to have a good amount of both intelligence and character because it will benefit you in many ways, such as socially.
