“Dare to stand alone.” To me, this quote means that you have to isolate yourself from the people who might set a bad example , or who may peer pressure you. You have to have the courage to be alone and move on from the people you thought were your friends. Doing this will allow you to keep your freedom, and you will maintain the respect that the good people have for you. Most people do drugs because they are trying to fit in. Those type of people should know that a real friend would never criminalize, victimize, or criticize you for not accepting drugs from someone. Those who do, aren’t actually your friends, and only care about drugs and fitting in. Just because you stand alone, it does not mean that you’re in the wrong. It just means that that you’re the only one that is correct(depending on the situation). Doing something bad, in order to fit in with a crowd of people can get you into big trouble. Especially if it’s something dangerous or illegal.
