Theodore Roosevelt

Educating the body,mind, character.

Theodore Roosevelt
“Of all the the work that is done or that can be done for our country, the greatest is that of educating the body, the mind, and above all the character, giving spiritual and moral training to those who in a few years are themselves to decide the destinies of the nation.” To me this quote means that character is above the body and mind. The reason for this is just an opinion that i don’t agree with, but I can relate to the quote a bit. This quote also states that you need to pass down your knowledge or “training” because it helps your nation develop evenly, and as a whole. You can have body and mind. But according to this quote, character beats all.Being a good person and being nice is more important than your physical and mental self. This is important because without this, it wouldn’t be the same. The nation might even be filled with people who weren’t trained or taught well. The nation might even be at chaos, if this wasn’t a thing. This helps everyone around you, and even the future of yourself and others. Educating others will eventually lead to self education. It might even lead to someone educating you. You never know, you can always learn something new.
